Ingredients

1 cup basmati rice

2 tbsp oil or ghee

1 bay leaf

2–3 cloves

1 small cinnamon stick

1 onion, sliced

1 cup mixed vegetables

1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

1–2 green chillies

Salt to taste

2 cups water

Fresh coriander & lemon
Method

Wash and soak rice for 20 minutes.

Heat oil/ghee and add whole spices.

Add onions and sauté till golden.

Add ginger-garlic paste & chillies.

Add vegetables and cook slightly.

Add rice, salt and water.

Cover and cook till fluffy.

Garnish and serve warm.
